St Pancras Church is decorated with over 25 different trees.
This year’s Christmas Tree Festival is now open for viewing in St Pancras’ church - everyday 9 -5 pm until closing time on Friday 20th.
‘Mike the Postman Productions’ chose ‘Father Christmas’ as his character.
This year’s theme is ‘Christmas Characters’ - with splendidly various interpretations by every individual and group participating.
Leusdon Church has a tree themed on ‘Angels in Christmas Carols’ - you are invited to guess the carol from a few lines of verse.
Hundreds of people will view the trees over the coming week - raising around £1000 for a small local charity as usual. This year’s beneficiary is the ‘Balloons’ charity based in Exeter, which helps children and young people facing bereavement.
Piglet and Bear, also known as Hetty (8) and Lilah (5), have a vibrant colour scheme for ‘Pigs in Blankets’ - with various pigs looking cosy on the tree.
The Grinch is one of a pair of characters entered by ‘The Kiosk’.
Dickensian characters feature on more than one tree, including this one from Ilsington Church.
Mary and Judy have been running the Christmas Tree Festival for over ten years - it has now expanded to a full week because so many people put so much effort into it.
Both Mary and Judy have put a lot of work into this week’s event … as well as preparing their own trees.
