This is a family friendly event and tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis. Price £20. Under 5’s go free. All proceeds in aid of the Widecombe Village Hall fund.
Banned from the Moor, a popular Dartmoor Folk Rock band will be playing. They have a caller to explain all the moves, so come and learn and join in the fun. The evening is suitable for all ages but if you feel like sitting it out, there will be limited seating and tables, inside and outside (weather permitting) for those not dancing. So no excuses! Bring your dancing shoes!
Please book by 21st June 12 noon to ensure a place and for catering arrangements to be put in place. There will be a cash only bar (and a raffle) and a hot main meal and pudding is included in the ticket price. All carnivores, vegetarians and vegans will be catered for with lots of choice of puddings
including dairy-free and gluten free. Book online on the Widecombe Community Hall website widecombecommunityhall.org. Register and follow the link for tickets. The default payment is PayPal but you can pay with any major credit/debit card online when you follow the link to the PayPal login page.
Please be aware that there is some uneven ground around the barn. Parking will be in a field near the event and guests can be dropped off at the entrance. There will also be some parking spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders near the entrance. Sorry, no dogs are allowed.
Camping is also available at the event at no extra cost. Please bring fresh water as there is none on-site. Porta loos will be available for all. Book a tent or van space online when you book your tickets.
If anyone would like to volunteer their help during the day, evening and clearing up on the following day, please email pollymcafee@gmail.com. A free drink is offered to anyone who can help out for an hour or more – serving behind the bar, parking cars, on the gate checking tickets or serving food (food hygiene certificates required). The organisers would be very grateful for any offers of a trayback, home-made cake or large dessert. Please contact Polly if you can help.
It will be a fun evening and a great way to raise funds for the Community Hall. Come and join the fun!
